Beauty companies continue to crowd the market with anti-aging products that promise to eradicate wrinkles. From creams and ointments to pills and injections, some women (and men!) will try anything to reverse those sinister signs of aging.
A Japanese company is practically selling out of these strange yet popular products. Here are four of my favorites. Would you be willing to try them?

While many people believe that obese men and women are in poor health and have a greater risk of dying, two recent studies suggest that appearances can be deceiving.
"Our study challenges the idea that all obese individuals need to lose weight," Dr. Jennifer Kuk, assistant professor in York University's School of Kinesiology & Health Science in Toronto, said in a statement. "Moreover, it's possible that trying - and failing - to lose weight may be more detrimental than simply staying at an elevated body weight and engaging in a healthy lifestyle that includes physical activity and a balanced diet with plenty of fruits and vegetables."

A new study conducted by Spanish scientists suggests that grapes, and thus red wine, contain compounds known as flavonoids that block chemical changes in the body that are associated with skin damage from the sun. The study, which was published in the May 11 issue of the Journal of Agriculture and Food Chemistry, says that the flavonoids help prevent the skin from forming “reactive oxygen species.”

When you go grocery shopping, chances are you’re either a cart-pusher or a basket-carrier. I tend to be a basket-carrier, but apparently, there’s a difference in what grocery-goers buy depending on their chosen method of shopping.
According to a recent study printed in the Journal of Marketing Research, shoppers who pushed a cart instead of carrying a basket tended to make better food choices. Researchers watched 136 people as they shopped for groceries and found that those who carried baskets were three times more likely to choose unhealthy foods. Why?

In your single days how many countless hours did you spend at the gym to stay in shape, slim and attractive? We tend to work out more when we are single so that we are more physically attractive to the other sex.
Once we get married, the gym doesn’t always stay a habit. It’s easy to become complacent and ignore the waistline expansion. Some call that post wedding weight gain “ happy weight “. But, that happy weight comes with a host of issues that you may not want to invite into your happily ever after.

Green tea may soon be replaced by green coffee as the drink of choice for weight loss. Green tea has long been touted for its slimming properties, but now, it seems drinking green coffee can have the same benefit. This is good news for coffee lovers.

It’s a sad day when the eating disorders that are already recognized aren’t enough – a new one has evolved, one that describes women who order huge portions of food while they’re out with others, but who also dramatically restrict their eating while they’re by themselves. These women can now be referred to as liarexics – a term that the Daily Mail coined.

Americans keep getting fatter and fatter. According to a a report released by Trust for America’s Health and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, 16 states saw a rise in obesity rates and 12 states are now plagued with an obesity rate of at least 30%.
"These numbers signal an emergency, and we simply have to have the courage and resolve to do more than what we're doing,” Kelly D. Brownell, director of Yale University's Rudd Center for Food Policy and Obesity told The Los Angeles Times. Brownell is not associated with the recent report.
