It’s been a while since we have seen wedding dresses from Isaac Mizrahi. The last wedding dresses he designed were for the big box retailer, Target. Well, he is back in the bridal wear arena with a six piece collection for The Aisle, a member’s only e-commerce site.
The prices are not entirely budget friendly with a starting price point of $2,200 and running up to $4,500. The gowns will be available in sizes from 0 to 14 and can be customized by submitting ten different measurements. Among the pieces in the collection are an ivory peplum with interchangeable belt options, and a silk mini dress with a sculpted bodice.
“This dresses are so fabulous because they are so iconic and brides need to be iconic on their wedding day,” Mizrahi said.
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to his favorite charity, Good Shepherd Services.
The line goes on sale April 5th and will be available for six months on line only.
Mizrahi has no qualms about selling his designs from an e-commerce site. He suggests, “The best place to shop for your wedding gown is in the privacy of your own computer.”
Sure it is and Kleinfelds is just an aberration, right?
