Sylvester Stallone is known for many things, but fashion isn’t one of them. However, that may soon change. The action star recently announced plans to launch a fashion line inspired by two of his most characters: Rocky and Rambo.
So exactly what looks will be available in Sly’s “premium brand” collection?
"Rocky at the end of the day is a love story," said Michael Henry, president of Sly Inc. "While Rambo showcases the other side of masculinity, he's a loner. So the label will offer looks for ‘the rebel and the gentleman.’”
Aimed at men between the ages of 25 – 40, Sly Inc. will be sold at department stores like Macy’s and include jeans, shirts, outerwear, and fragrances.
The now 64-year-old actor developed an interest in fashion after losing a lot of weight between Rambo 2 and Rambo 3.
“Nothing fit so I started buying custom clothing. I found out I really like this world,” he said.
Though it took Stallone over ten years to create a fashion line, the action star believes Sly Inc. was worth the wait.
"I thought the time is now," Stallone told Men's Week. "I've lived a life where I know what has worked and what hasn't worked. Clothing is the first step to building a character."
No word on how much items in the Rocky, Rambo-inspired clothing line will cost.
